As we come into a new year it's time to set ourselves some new year resolutions.
Most people don't keep too them and I know for sure I'm one of them. For years one of mine was to give up smoking. First time I gave up for 6 months and was doing great but my brother went to prison and as we were rather close it was too much for me and I asked my partner for one just before my first visit as I was petrified and didn't know what to expect. That one turned into 1 pack and that was it is was hooked again. I tried again the following year and have now given up for 3 years. I hope that I have managed to beat the nicotine bug once and for all.
My next one was to lose the weight I put on when I gave up smoking,so I tried Actiderm's 7 day shred which is great 7lb lost in one week but after that week I'd fall back into bad habits and put it all back on. Next I tried Juice Plus, but I found really hard not being able to have any foods without gluten or not having milk, the plan is a good concept and I have seen some fantastic results but it just wasn't for me.
I gave up maybe I was meant to be this size forever. Then in September my friend told that she was going to slimming world, she was the same size as me and only wanted to lose about 2 stone. I thought people would look at us as if we were in the wrong place but how wrong was I. Everyone was so welcoming, and the plan worked, in 13 weeks I have lost 1 stone and kept it off, I still have another 10lb to go to get to my target weight but I feel great how far I have come.
So this year my new years resolutions is.........
...........to become more organised as I am miss last minute. If I can have that extra 5 minutes in bed I will, I know I shouldn't and could be doing my housework in that time or not have to run to school for once. This week I have ordered myself a few new products from Amazon that I'm hope is going to help me to get myself more organised life.
The first is the Busy B,Busy life diary. I don't normally splash out £10 on a new diary, last year I didn't even have a calendar because our dog Boo Boo decided that it looked a lot better in small pieces rather than 12 lovely pages. I must admit that I had a little cry as it was a picture one that my mum had made for me for Christmas and it couldn't be replaced but we have a new one this year that is hidden from dogs view. Anyway back to diaries I normally make do with a small one that we get given from the school that I work for but its not a whole year one as they work by terms.
I ordered the stripy one as I love the purple that runs throughout but the other thing it does have is each week has double pages,so great for it to have two uses. I'm going to use one side for my blogging and the other for appointments, bits the girls are doing and holidays from work. I'm hoping that this will help me organise my life somewhat,it is going to maybe take more than a diary but it's a great
While I was ordering my diary I also ordered a book called 'The life changing magic of not giving a f**k'. OK so here me out I was reading another blog post from someone else and they were given this for Christmas and I just kinda grabbed my attention. As I am one of these people that worries and worries about silly stuff that I know I shouldn't even waste my time on but can't help it. So I thought with it being a new year why not, I will let you know how it goes or whether it ends up in the bin.
If you have any tips on getting organised please do share with us in the commments below.
